Adverse Reaction:
Burning sensation, rash, itching, foliculitis or allergic reactions like burning, reddening or weeping lesions may occur.
Erythema, skin atrophy, striae, miliaria, secondary infections, hypopigmentation, folliculitis hypetrichosis, acneiform eruption,
Dermal cracking and fissuring Telangiectasia, contac dermitis other local effects, masks infecton Immunosuppression,
HPA axis suppression esp. in children
Contra-Indications:
Hypersensitivity.
do not use superpotent forms on face, groin or axilate
exclude viral disease (eg, chicken pox, measles)
Special precautions:
Treat infections if present . Discontinue if infection persists or worsens
Do not use near eyes or on diaper dermatitis or pre-exiting skin atrophy.
Do not use fluorinated steroids longer than 1 week on the face
Avoid abrupt cessation in chronic use
Systemic absorption increased by broken or inflamed skin, prolonged use , application to large area or use occlusive dressings.
Occlude only if necessary do not occlude higher potency products
Monitor adrenal function in children with potency product or occulsion is used, and in adults if more than 50g weekly of a high potency product is used
Discontinue or reduce dose or potency if HPA axis suppression, Cushings syndrome, hyperglycemia,
glycosuria or irritaton occurs
Use lowest erffective dose and potency esp, in children
Use caution if applying to face or body folds
Do not use continously for prophylaxis
Reevaluate periodically
Pregnancy, lactation
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indication-
Corticosteroid sensitive dermatoses
Dosage-
Apply a thin film of the 0.25% of the cream to the affected area. Duration of the treatment not to exceed four weeks.
Patient Information:
Refer topical corticosteroids
Treat infections if present . Discontinue if infection persists or worsens
Do not use near eyes or on diaper dermatitis or pre-exiting skin atrophy.
