Adverse Reaction:
One case of conjuntival chemosis and hyperemia, thought to be allergic in nature,was reported.
Contra-Indications:
History of hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Special precautions: Should suspension of drug toxicity occurs,discontinue the drug. Monitor tolerance of natamycin,at least twice daily.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indications: Fungal keratitis
Dosage: 1 drop instilled into the conjutival sac at 1 or 2 hour intervals.

NATAMYCIN- Ophthalmic
1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
natamycin. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are allergic to
any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Studies have not been done in either humans or animals.
3. Breast-feeding-
Mothers who are taking this medicine and who wish to breast feed should
discuss this with their doctor.
4.Children-
Studies of this medicine has been done only in adult patients and there is no specific
information comparing natamycin in children with use in other age groups.
5.Older adults-
Although there is no specific information comparing use of natamycin in the elderly
with use in other age groups, this mediine is not expected to cause different side
effects or problems than it does in younger adults.
