Special precautions:

Excessive intake - excessive intake in healthy persons br deleterious Do not exceed the prescribed dosage, will cause emesis if administered in single 2g doses

Pregnancy- Routine use of zinc supllementation in pregnant women is not recommended

Lactation- Breast milk concentrations of zinc decrease over time following delivery

Indications:

Mineral and electrolyte supplement

Dosage:

Average dose is 25 to 50 mg zinc daily. Take with food to avoid gastric distress. Food containing bran are known to delay absorption.

If GI upset takes place, take withn food. but avoid foods high in calcium,phosphorus or phylate
