Pharmacology:
Bulaquine has biological activity against the tissue schizoticides(radical cure) of P.vivax Theexact action is not fully understood. However, Bulaquine reportedly inhibits protein synthesis in prootozoa and indirectly inhibits polymerization of amino avids by the plasmoda.
Pharmacokinetics:
Serum concentration of Bulaquine and its metabolite, Primaquine determined by HPLC after a single oral dose showed an elimination half-life varying from 4.39 to 6.789 hrs. No studies have been conducted on children
