Adverse Reaction:
Gastrointestinal adverse drug reactions include anorexia, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Rarely hypersensitivity reactions like rash may occur. Loss of appetite, headache, sweating, hot sensation

Pharmacology:
Evidence indicates that methylcobalamin is utilized more efficiently than cyanocobalamin to increase levels of the coenzyme forms of vitamin B12.Methylcobalamin promotes axonal transport and axonal regeneration. It exhibits neuropathologically and electrophysiologically inhibitory effect on nerve degenaration in neuropathies induced by drugs such as adriamycin, acryfamide, and vincristine(in rats and rabbits) Human urinary excretion of methylcobalmin is about one-third that of similar dose of cyanocobalamin, indicating substantially greater tissue retension.
