Adverse Reaction:
Increased intraoccular pressure (may precipitate narrow-angle glaucoma), systemic anticholinergic effects, severe CNS disturbances in children (rare). Prolonged use may cause local irritation, hyperanemia, oedema and conjuntivitis. May cause to produce adequate cyclopegia in children.

TROPICAMIDE - OPHTHALMIC
1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
Tropicamide. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are
allergic to any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Studies have not been done in humans or animals
3. Breast-feeding-
Tropicamide has not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies.
4.Children-
Infants and young children with blond hair or blue eyes may be especially
sensitive to the effects of tropicamide. This may increase the chance or
severity of the side effects during treatment.
5.Older adults-
Elderly people are more sensitive to the effects tropicamide. This may
increase the chance of side effects during treatment
6. Other medicines-
Tell your doctor if you are using any other prescription or
non-prescription (Over-the counter) OTC medicine.
7. Other medical problems-
The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of tropicamide.
Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems
especially-
Brain damage( in children) or
Downs syndrome or
Glaucoma or
Spastic paralysis - tropicamide may make the condition worse.
