Anthrlalin- Topical
1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to anthralin
Also tell your healthcare provider if you allergic to any other substances, such as
preservatives.
2.Pregnancy-
Anthralin may be absorbed through the skin. however, studies in pregnancy have not
been done in either humans or animals
3. Breast-feeding-
Anthralin may be absorbed through mothers skin. However, it is not known whether
anthralin passes into the breast milk. Although most medicines pass into breast milk
in small amounts, many of them may be used safely while breast feeding. Mothers
who are using this medicine and who wish to breast-feed should this this with their
doctor.
4.Children-
Studies on this medicine have been done only in adult patients, and there is no
specific information comparing use of anthralin in children with use in other
age group.
5.Older adults-
Many medicines have not been studied specifically in older people. Therefore, it
may not be known whether they work exactly the same way they do in younger
adults, or if they cause different side effects or problems in older people
. There is no specific infoormation comparing use of anthralin in the elderly with
use in other age groups.
6.Other medicines-
Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two
different medicines may be used together even interaction might occur. In such
cases your doctor may want to change the dose , or other precautions may be
necessary. Tell your doctor if you are using any other presctiption drugs or
non-prescription (OTC) medicines
7. Other medical problems-
Presence of other medical problemsmay affect the use of anthralin. Make sure
you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems-
Skin diseases or problems (other) - anthralin may make the condition worse.
