Enhances percutaneous absorption of minoxidil.

Topical treatment of acne vulgaris
Adverse Reaction:
None with topical aplication.
Apparent exacerbation of symptoms, excessive skin irritation, stinging on application.
Erythma, scaling, photosensitivity, temporary hypo/hyperpigmentation.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersens to ingredient.
Special precautions:
Eczematous, sunburnt or abraded skin.
Avoid concomittant topical applications, especially peeling agents.
Avoid exposure to sunlight including sun-maps.
Keep away from eyes mouth, angles of nose and mucous membranes.
In cases of severe local erythema, use less frequently or discontinue.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indications:
Topical treatment of acne vulgaris
Dosage:
Apply once a day before retiring.
Cover the entire areas lightly.
Throughly wash hands immediately after applying tretinon.
Patient Information:
1. Throughly cleanse the area to be treated before application.
2. Keep away from eyes, mouth, angles of nose and mucous membranes.
3. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and sunlamps.
4. Application may give transitory feeling of warmth and slight stinging.
Reddness and peeling may occur with excessive application.
If excessive redness or discomfort occurs, decrease or discontinue temporarily.

TRETINON- TOPICAL
1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
etretinate, isotretionin, tretionin or Vitamin A preparations. Also tell your
healthcare care professional if you are allergic to any other substances
such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Tretionin has not been studied in pregnant women. Topical tretionin
has been shown to cause delayed bone development in animal fetuses.
Before using this medicine, make sure your doctor knows if you are
pregnant or if you may become pregnant,
3. Breast-feeding-
It is not known whether tretionin passes into breast milk. However, this
medicine has not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies
4.Children-
Studies of this medicine has been done only in adult patients and there
is no specific information comparing tretionin in children with use in
other age groups.
5.Older adults-
There is no specific information comparing use of tretionin in the elderly
with use in other age groups.
6. Other medicines-
Tell your doctor if you are using any other prescription or
non-prescription (Over-the counter) OTC medicine that is to be appled
to the same area.
7. Other medical problems-
The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of tretionin.
Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems
especially-
Eczema or
Sunburn - use of this medicine may cause or increase the irritation
associated with these problems

Excercise caution while administering to a nursing mother.
