Drug Interaction:
Potentially Hazardous Interactions:
No interactions with topically applied flucortolone has been reported.
Adverse Reaction:
Prolonged adminstration causes epidermal thinning, telangectasia and striae(especially face
and flexures).
Application on eye lid and surrounding skin can raise intraocular pressure,
cataracts, glaucoma, corneal ulcers and raised intracranial pressure.
Systemic absorption with adrenal suppression may be seen when applied overlarge areas, when skin is broken
or under occlusive dressing.
Contra-Indications:
Contraindications:
Primary infectins(bacterial,viral, fungal), ulcers, hypersen,acne.
Special Precautions:
Neonates,children,elderly,hepatic failure.
