Adults- 12.5g IV over 10 m inutes, whether used alone or in combination with other cyanide antidotes

Pharmacology:
The primary mechanism of cyanide detoxification involves conversion of cyanide to the relatively nontoxic thiocyanate ion. This reaction involves the enzyme rhodanase (tuocyasulfate cyanide sulfurtransferase) found in many body tissues, but with major activity in the liver.
Pharmacokinetics:
The biological half-life is 0.65 hrs.
