Peripheral sensory neutropathy Pharyngo-laryngeal dyasthesia anemia including imuno-haemolytic anemia
Neutropenia ,thrombocytopenia Nausea, diarrhea Muscositis/stomatitis Alopecia
Raised liver enzymes Allergic reactions Fever Ototoxicity Rash Arthalgia Back pain, colitis
Renal function disturbances tempororary loss of visual acuity
intestinal lung disease ( sometimes fatal )
Contra-Indications:
Severe renal impairment Neutropaenia Thrombocytoma Peripheal sensory neuropathy Myelosuppression Pregnancy Lactation
Special precautions
Moderate renal impairment Monitor renal function
History of sensitivity to platinum compds Monitor for allergic reactions
Discontinue immediately if anaphyloid reactions occur and do not rechallenge
Perfrom neurological eaxm, before each dose
Discontinue or reduce dose if parathesia or dysaethesia are present
Peform full blood count and white cell differntial before each dose
Discontinue if unexplained respiratory symptoms occur

Indication-
Metastatic colorectal cancer
Dosage-
85mg/m2 every two weeks by iv infusion over 2-6 hrs prior to admin of 5FTU
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use contraindicated. Observe caution
