Disulphram -avoid, phenytoin, corticosteroids, cyclosporin, Dapsone, quinidine, nacrcotics
Alcohol - risk of hepatitis
Pyridoxine defeciency Increased risk of neuropathy
Indication:
Short course and retreatment of tuberculosis in children
Adverse Reaction:
GI disturbances, hepatic disorders, Hepatitis, jaundice Leucopenia, eosinophillia Flu-like syndrome. Hypoglycaemia Headache, drowsiness, dizziness Visual disturbances Dose dedpendent peropheral neuropathy
Contra-Indications:
Jaundice, optic neuritis, concurrent admin. of ritonovir /squinavir,atezanavir
Special precautions-
Test visual functions before and during therapy Iimpaired liver function, Increased liver danage with increasing age Very youmg or malnourished patients
Elderly Perform blood counts, renal and liver function tests regularly Diabetes Pregnancy Lactation

Dosage-
Children - 2-3 caps dailty depending on weight to be given as a single dose either 1 hour before or 2 hurs after meals
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation Observe caution if required to be used
