Adverse Reaction:
Dizziness, headache, tiredness, hypertension, Constipation, pain, GI upset, agitation, sleep disturbances, Hallucinations, Cough, UTI, urinary incontinence, Breathlessness Ocular toxicity
Contra-Indications:
Severe hepatic impairment Lactation Severe renal impairment Seizures or history of convulsions
Special precautions-
Moderate renal impairment, Recent MI , Uncompensated heart failure, Uncontrolled hypertension, Pregnancy Alkaline urine, Hepatic impairment
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Mild to severe Alzheimers dementia
Dosage-
Initially 5mg daily during 1st week increasing at weekly intervals in increments of 5mg daily to maintenance of 20mg daily by 4th week.
Severe renal impairment - Max 5mg twice daily
Pregnancy and lactation:
Contraindicated for use during pregnancy and lactation. Observe caution if required to be administered
