Special precautions-

Prostrate carcinoma should be ruled out before starting therapy. Risk of interaoperative floppy iris syndrome in patients who undergo cataract surgery May cause orthostatic hypotension or syncope especially with 1st dose, if dosage is increased or any antihypertensive drug or phophodiesteraes -5 inhibitor is added. to the treatment regimen. Caution when used in patients with sukpa allergy. May cause priapm (rare ) immediate medical attention is recommended. Pregnancy

Indication-

Benign prostatic cancer

Dosage-

Take 1/2 hour following the same meal daily. Swallow whole . Do not open/chew/crush 

Adults-

0.4mg once daily following the same meal rach day

Alternative- for patients who fail to respond to the 0.4mg dose aftrer 2 to 4 weeks, the dose of tamsulosin can be increased to 0.8mg once daily discontinuation- if tamsulosin capsules admin. is discontinued or interrupted for several days, at either 0.4mg or 0.8mg dose, therapy should be started again with 0.4mg once daily dose
