Indication-
Attention defecit  hyperactivity disorder ( ADHD)

Dosage-
Initial dosage- 5mg once or twice a day is  recommended

Maintenance dose- the usual effective dose is 20 to 25mg daily. The total daily
dose may be given in 2 divided doses daily.

Dosage adjustments- daily dosage may be raised in increments of 5mg at weekly intervals
until an optimal clinical response is acheived.

Duration of therapy- when possible the drug administration should be interupted ocassionally
to determine if there is a recurrence of behavoural symptoms sufficient to require continued
therapy

Children-  6 years and older -see adults dosing

Administration- the total daily dose may be given in 2 divided doses daily.
Taking the medication late evening should be avoided because of the resulting insomnia
