Vascular headache

Renal function impairment- administration  of ergotamine to patients or with renal
impairment is contraindicated

Hepatic  function impairment -  administration of ergotamine to patients with renal impairment
is contrindicated

Indication-
Vsscular headache

Dosage-
Sublingual tablets
Usual dosage- one 2mg tablet placed under the tongue at the first sign of an attack or to
relieve symptoms after onset of an attack. Another tablet should be taken at 30 minute
interval thereafter if necessary

Maximum dose- dosage must not exceed 3 tablet in any 24 hour period or 10mg in any
1 week.
