	 Antidepressants-
	Do not use yohimbine
        
     
    
    
    
    
           
            Adverse Reaction:
        
        
            
	 Yohimbine readily penetrate CNS and produces complex pattern of response in lower doses
	than those required to produce peripheral alpha - adrenergic blockade.
	These include antidiuresis, and central excitation , including elevated blood pressure and heart
	rate, increased motor activity , nervousness, irritability and tremor
	Dizziness, nausea, headache, and skin flushing have been reported
        
     
    
    
           
            Contra-Indications:
        
        
            
	 Renal disease, hypersensitivity to any component
	Special Precautions-
	Special risk patients- not for use in geriatric, psychiatric or cardiorenal patients with a history
	of duodenal ulcer. Generally not for use in females
	Pregnancy- do not use during pregnancy
	Lactation- this drug is not proposed for use in females
	Children- do not use in children
        
     
    
    
           
            Dosages/ Overdosage  Etc:
        
        
            
	 Indication-

	Male erectile impotence-
	Experimental dosage- 1 tablet ( 5.4mg ) 3 times/day
	Occassional side effects with this dosage are -nausea, dizziness or nervousness
	If side effects occur reduce to one half tablets 3 times a day, followed by gradual  increase
	to 1 tablet 3 times/day
	Results of therapy greater than 10 weeks are not known

	YOHIMBINE -SYSTEMIC
	 
	1.Allergies-
	  Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to 
	   Yohimbine or any of the rauwolfia alkaloids, suc as desrodine, rauwolfia
	   serpentina or reserpine. Also tell your healthcare care professional 
	    if you are allergic to any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
	 
	2.Older adults- 
	    Although there is no specific information  comparing use of  yohimbine in the
	    elderly   with use   in other age groups, this medicine has been used in some 
	    elderly patients and has not shown to cause different side effects in older
	    people than younger adults.
	 
	3. Other medicines-
	     Tell your doctor if you are using any other  prescription or   non-prescription
	     (Over-the counter) OTC medicine.
	 
	4. Other medical problems-
	   The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of  yohimbine. 
	   Make sure   you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems 
	   especially-
	 
	    Angina pectoris or
	    Depression or
	   Other psychiartric illness or
	    Heart disease or
	    High blood pressure or
	    Kidney disease - yohimbine may make these conditions worse.
	 
	    Liver disease - effects of yohimbine may be increased because 
	   of slower removal from the body
