ACTH, NSAIDS, Tubocurine, alcohol, barbiturates, digoxin, allopurinol
Immunosuppressants, hypoglycemic agents, antacids. anesthestics.
Injectable gold, CNS depressants, Chloestyramine, Noradrenaline,
Parathyroid function tests.
Adverse Reaction:
Hyperkalemia, insomina, dizziness, headache, somloence
MI, vasodilation, bronchitis, cough, rhinitis, upper RTI,
GI upset, back pain, myalgia, hyperuricaemia, rash
Asthena, chest pain, fatigue, raised creatinine and BUN
Electrolyte disturbances, Stevens -Johnson syndrome, activation SLE,
Glucose intolerance, taste disturbance, blood dyscrasias,
Acute transcient myopia, acute angle-closure glaucoma
Angioedema discontinue
Rarely hepatic failure
Contra-Indications:
Anuria, severe renal impairment CrCl < 40ml/min
Ventricular outflow obstruction, angioedema,
Concomittant aliskiren in diabetes
Severe renal artery stenosis, hemodialysis
Pregnancy- ensure contraception in women
Lactation
Special Precaution-
Hepatic or mild to moderate renal impairment, severe CHF CAD aortic stenosis
Collagen vascular disease.

Monitor renal function, serum electrolytes, white cell count, blood urea nitrogen, and urinary
protein, before and during therapy
