Anticholinergics, colestyramine, colestipol, Vit D, calcium salts, alcohlol, sedatives
Anesthetics, pressor amines, antiarrhythmics, antipsychotics, carbamazepine, probenecid,
Tetracycline, digitalis, mizolastine, noradrenaline, i.v. erythromycin, pentamidine
Iodine contrast media, renal excreted cytotoxics eg. cyclophosphamide, methotrexate
Carbenoxolone, anticholinergics
Adverse Reaction:
Postural hypotension, anorexia, GI upset, headache, dizziness, urticaria
Nasopharyngitis, fatigue, diarrhea, cough, edema, rash, electrolyte disturbances
Impotence, hyperuricaemia, increased cholesterol or triglycerides,
Raised creatinine, BUN, myalgia, thrombocytopenia, hepatitis, pancreatitis,
Pneumonia, photosenstivity, rarely angio-edema
Serum sickness, vasculitis, acute angle closure glycoma
Rhadomyolysis
Contra-Indications:
Severe hepatic or renal impairment CrCl < 30ml/min
Billiary cirrhosis, cholestatasis, renal artery stenosis, anuria, severe CCF
Primary hyperaldosteronism, conditions or treatments predisposing to K loss
refractory hypocalcemia, symptomatic hyperurecaemia
Concomitant aliskiren in diabetes
Pregnancy and lactation
Special Precautions-
Salt or volume depletion, kidney transplant, SLE, valve stenosis, gout, asthma
Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, diabetes, heart failure, post MI
Monitor fluid balance, serum electrolytes, creatinine, uric acid
History of penicillin allergy
History of angioedema, Acute myopia
