Adverse Reaction:
Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite,
GI distress, furred tongue, unpleasant taste
Leucopenia, urticaria
Angioedema, CNS disturbances, dark urine,
Neuropathy and epileptiform seizures on long term therapy
Contra-Indications:
1st trimester of pregnancy, blood dyscrasias, lactation
Hypersens, neurological disorders

Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indication-
Amoebiasis
Amoebic dysentry
Dosage-
Amoebiasis - 500mg twice daily for 5-10 days
Amoebic dysentry- 1.5g once daily for 3 days
Children- 40mg/kg body weight, once daily for 3 days
Giardiasis - 1 to 1.5g once daily
Children- 30-40mg .kg body weight daily for 3 days
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use contraindictated
Observe caution if required to be used during pregnancy
