BEPRIDIL-
Generally not serious, rarely requires discontinuation or dosage adjustment
CNS - Dizziness , 25%, Headache 13% Asthenia 13% Nervousness 11%,
Tremor/hand tremor > 9%
Drowsiness > 7% Tinnitus 6%,Parathesia 2.5%, Insomnia 2.5%,
Psychiatric disturbance,
Depression, Amnesia, Paranoia, Psycosis, Hallucination, Anxiety,
Blurred vision < 2%,
GASTROINTESTINAL - Nausea 25% Diarrhea 10% Hepatitis,
Abdominal discomfort / cramps/
dyspepsia 7%
Dry mouth/ thirst 3% Constipation 2% ,
Flatulence < 2 %
CARDIOVASCULAR - Palpitation 7 %, Peripheral edema , Bradycardia,
Tachycardia < 2 %
DERMATOLOGIC- Dermatitis/rash < 2 %

Approved by FDA in December 1990
Indications:
Chronic stable angina
Dosage:
Individualise dosage. Usual initial dose is 200mg/day. After 10 days, dosage may be adjusted upward depending on response. Most patients are maintained at 300mg.
Maximum daily dose is 400mg, and minimum effective dose is 200mg.

1.Take the medicine exactly as directed by the physician.
2.Swallow the tablet whole,without crushing or chewing it. However if advised by the doctor, you may break into half.
3.Take the medicine with food or milk.
