Postural hypotension potentiated with calcium channel blkrs, antihypertensives,phenothiazines,
and tricylic antidepressants.Increases bioavailability of dihydroergometrines.
Alcohol causes hypotension and collapse.

Adverse Reaction:
Nausea,vomiting,headache,,apphrension,restlessness,weakness,vertigo and dizzines, tachycardia,palpitation and orthostatic hypotension.
Contra-Indications:
Hypotension,hypovaemia,obstructive cardiomyopathy,M.I. with right heart involvement. Raised
intracranial pressure
Special precautions:
Glaucoma,mitral valve prolapse,renal/hepatic impairment.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indications:
Prophylaxis of angina
Dosage:
Oral- 10 to 20mg 3 to 4 times a day. Titrate to 40mg 4 times daily 1/2 hour before or 1 hour after meals.
Sustained release capsule- one capsule every 12 hours.
