1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
Gallium nitrate. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are allergic to
any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Diet-
Make sure that doctor knows if your diet includes large amonut of calcium-containing
foods and /or vitamin D, such as milk or other diary products or low sosium diet
or low sugar diet.
3.Pregnancy-
Studies have not been done in humans or animals.
4. Breast-feeding-
This medicine is not recommended for use during feeding , because of the unwanted
effects it produces in nursing babies
5.Children-
There is no specific information comparing gallium nitrate in children with use in
other age groups.
6.Older adults-
This medicine is not expected to cause different side effects than in younger
adults.
7. Other medicines-
Tell your doctor if you are using any of the following prescription
medicines.
Anti-infectives or
Cisplatin or
Cyclosorine or
Deferoxamine or
Gold salts or
Lithium or
Methotrexate- use of gallium nitrate may cause or worsen kidney problems
8. Other medical problems-
The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of Gallium Nitrate.
Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems
especially-
Kidney disease- galium nitrate may make the condition worse.
