RESCORCINOL- TOPICAL
1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
Rescorcinol. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are allergic
to any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Rescorcinol may be absorbed through the skin. However, topical rescorcinol
has not been shown to cause birth defects or problems in humans
3. Breast-feeding-
This medicine may be absorbed through the mothers skin. However,
topical rescorcinol has not been reported to cause problems in nursing
babies.
4.Children-
Rescorcinol may be absorbed through the skin and should not be used on
large areas of infants and children. In addition rescorcinol should not be used
on wounds, since doing so, may cause a blood disease called
methemoglobinemia
5.Older adults-
Although there is no specific information comparing use of rescorcinol in the
elderly with use in other age groups, this medicine is not expected to cause
different side effect or problems than it does in younger adults.
6. Other medicines-
Tell your doctor if you are using any of the following or /other prescription or
non-prescription (Over-the counter) OTC medicine.
