SIMETHICONE-
Indication- Symptomatic relief of peptic ulcer, oseophagitis, heartburn
Dosage- 50mg 170ml gel 10ml 1 and 3 hours after meals at bedtime Not recommended for children
D/INT- Tetracycline, iron, warfarin, didoxin, antibitics
ADR- Constipation, diarrheoa
S/P- impaired renal function, hypophoatamia, debilitation, pregnancy

SIMETHICONE - ORAL
1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
Simethicone. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are allergic
to any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2. Diet-
Avoid foods that seem to increase gas. Chew food throughly and slowly.
Reduce air swallowing by avoiding fizzy, carbonated drinks. Do not smoke
before meals.
3.Pregnancy-
Simethicone is not absorbed into the body and is not likely to cause
problems
4. Breast-feeding-
Simethicone is not reported to cause problems in nursing babies.
5.Children-
This medicine has not been tested in children. and in effective doses
has not shown to cause different effects or problems than it does in adults.
6.Older adults-
There is no specific information comparing use of simethicone in the elderly
with use in other age groups.
