SULFONAMIDE - OPHTHALMIC
1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
Sulfa medicines. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are
allergic to any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Sulfonamide ophthalmic preparations have not shown to cause birth
defects or other problems in humans.
3. Breast-feeding-
Sulfonamide ophthalmic preparations have not been reported to cause
any problems in nursing babies.
4.Children-
Studies on sulfonamide preparations have been done only in adult patients
and there is no specific information comparing use in children with use
in other age groups.
5.Older adults-
There is no specific information comparing use of sulfonamides in the elderly
with use in other age groups.
6. Other medicines-
When you taking sulkfonamide ophthalmic preparations, tell your doctor if you
are using any other medicines.
7. Other medical problems-
The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of sulfonamide
ophthalmic preparations, it is especially important that you tell your doctor
if you have any other medical problems
