Indication:
Blood loss Haemorrhages
Adverse Reaction:
Haemocoagulase is safe and is found to be free from toxicitry even in large doses and for prolonged durations.
Rarely it may cause allergy, anaphylatoid reactions after intravenous administration
Contra-Indications:
History of venous or arterial thrombotic disorders
Hypersenstivity to the drug or similar drugs Diseases with tendency to intravascular coagulation
Special precautions:
Pregnant women should use this product only if it is a an emergency. P{atients with dispersed intra blood vessel coagulation (DIC) or blood disorder disease are suggested not to use haemocogulase. When idiopathy fibrinolytic system is present it should be used with fibrinolytic medicine.
Over dosage will decrease the function of haemostatic activity.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Haemorrhages 1ml i.m. or locally upto 3 times daily
Not recommended for children

Pharmacology-
Haemocoagulase promotes blood coagulation by two different enzymatic activities, accelration of the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin, and causing a direct transformation of fibrinogen to fibrin monomer , which can be converted by thrombin into fibrin clot.
Pharmacokinetics-
Following interevenous administration, the haemostatic effect of haemocoagulase injection becomes apparent after 5 to 10 minutes and lasts for 24 hours.
After intramuscular injection action starts after 20 to 30 minutes and the duration of action is 48 to 60 hours. After local spraying or applying soaked swab on the bleeding surface, the action starts within a minute
