Drug Interaction:
Cross senitivity with aspirin may occur which may be fatal. Analgin- Alcohol , cyclosporin (decrease in cyhcosporin level )
Adverse Reaction:
Agranulocytosis and shock.
Drug induced epidermal necrosis,hypersens,dysponea,cyanosis.
Analgin- Agranulocytosis, shock analgesics intolerance ( on the skin, on mucous membraine,bronchiial tract)
Red colration of urine(harmless due to rubazonic acid) Injection drop in BP following too rapid injection .
Steven- Johnson & Leylls syndrome
Contra-Indications:
Porphyria,hypersens.
Special precautions:
Risk of serious adverse effects,hence should be used in very serious situations where no alternative is avilable.
Analgin- Hypersens to pyrazolone Collapse states Hepatic porphyria G 6 PD deficiency
Special precautions-
White cell counts is reqd. if general condition of patient deteriorates
R.C. vial not used for i.v. use
Disorders of haematopoiesis
Asthma or chronic airway infections

Analgin 1-2 tabs 3-4 times a daily Not recommended for children below 6 years

None reported.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Contraindicated for use during pregnancy.
