Drug Interaction:
Recommended that nefopam should not be given to patients receiving MAOIs and should be given cautiously to tose receiving tricyclic antidepressants

Adverse Reaction:
The adverse effects of nefopam are additive to these of other drugs with antimuscranic or sympathomitic activity.
Contra-Indications:
Contraindicated in patients with a history of convulsive disorders Should be used with caution in elderly and in patients with glaucoma. urinary retension or impaired renal function
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Relief of mild to moderate pain
Dose-
30mg to 90mg three times daily Recommended initial dose is 60mg ( or 30mg in elderly) three times daily May also be given 20mg intramuscularl injection repeated every 6 hours if necessary
It is recommended that the patient is lying down when receiving the injection and should remain so for 15 to 20 minutes afterwards.
