May be habit forming, should not be used chronically.
Lactation- may cause drowsiness to the infant
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Adults- 250 to 500mg 2 or 3 times daily
Children- administer proportionately less, according to age and weight.
1. May cause drowsiness, use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness
2. Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants
Acetyl carbromal is a short acting CNS depressant used as a daytime sedative and as hypnotic. It release free bromine which causes bromide intoxification. It is metabolised to urea and readiliy eliminated
