NSAIDs include- Propionic acid- Fenoprofen, Flurbiprofen, Ibuprofen, Ketoprofen, Naproxen, Naproxen Sodium, Oxaprozin Acetic acids- Diclofenac sodium, Etodolac, Indomethicin, Ketorolac, Nabumetone, Sulindac, Tolmetin Fenamates (anthralic acids) - Meclofenamate, Mefenamic acxid Oxicams- Piroxicam Refer- Ibuprofen

Relief of mild to moderate pain in patients greater than 14 years of age

Contra-Indications:
If diarrhea occurs with mefanamic acid or meclofenamate reduce dosage or temporarily discontinue use.
Renal function impairment- mefanamic acid should not be administered to patients with pre-existing renal disease or in patients with significant impaired renal function
Hepatic function impairment- ptiens with acute or chronic hepatic disease may require reduced doses of mefanamic acid as compared with patients with healthy hepatic function.
Administarion- Oral route preferably with food.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indication-
Relief of mild to moderate pain in patients greater than 14 years of age
Dosage-
500mg as an intial dose
Maintenance- follow intiall dose by 250mg evry 6 hours as needed
Duration of therapy - 1 week
