Indication:
INDICATION-
Enhacement of Anesthsia during inductiion ( consult product literature for use in patients ndrgoing cardiac surgery), analgesia and sedation in ventilated , intensive care patients
Adverse Reaction:
Side effects-
commonly hypoxia, rarely asytole, AV block and convulsion also reported
Contra-Indications:
CAUTIONS-
No adjustment is necessary in renal impairment
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Dose-
Analgesia and enhancement at induction- by intravenous infusion- Adult- 30-60 microgram /lkg/hour with or without an initial dose by intravenous injection of 0.25- 1 microgram /kg over atleast 30 seconds
Assisted ventilation- analgesia, and enhancement during maintenance of anesthesia by intravenous infusion - Adult- 3-120micrigram/kg with or without innitial dose by intravenous injection of 0.25-1 microgram /kg over at least 30 seconds accordng to anesthetic technique in light anesthsia by 5 minutes
