Indication:
Relief of bladder pain or discomfort associated with intestinal cystitis
Adverse Reaction:
Commonly reported adverse reactions- diarrhea and headache alopecia and rectal haemorrhage ( 1-.5% )
Contra-Indications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug
Special precautions-
Patients undergoing invasive procedures or having signs or symptoms of underlying coagulaopathy Increased risk of bleeding should be evaluated for hemorrhage
Caution to be excercised when using PPS in patients who have a history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia PPS should be given cautiously in patients suffering from hepatic insuficiency or splenic disorders

Indication-
Relief of bladder pain or discomfort associated with intestinal cystitis
Dosage-
Recommended dose - 300mg/day taken as 100mg caps three times a daily
Patient Information:
1. Patients should take the drug as prescribed. in the dosage prescribed and
no more frequently than prescribed.
2. Patients should be reminded that pentosan polysulfate sodium has a
weak anticoagulant effect. This may increase bleeding times
