If administered during the same procedure,consider possible synegistic or antagonistic effects.
Indication:
An adjunct for use with succinylchoine to prolong neuromuscular blockade.
Adverse Reaction:
Profound and prolonged muscle paralysis, resulting in respiratory depression, apnea, bronchosapsm.
Bradycardia, tachycardia, hypertension, hypotension, cardiac arrest, arrhythmias. Hypersens, hyperthermia,increased intraocular pressure, salivation.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersensitivity to hexafluorenium or to bromides
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indications:
An adjunct for use with succinylchoine to prolong neuromuscular blockade. Dosage: Administer in a ratio of 2mg of hexafluorenium for each 1 mg of succinylcholine. To avoid patient distress,administer only after inducing unconciousness.

Pharmacology:
Hexafluorenium bromide is aplasma cholinesterase inhibitor. Its anticholinesterase activity is limited to plasma esterases. Pharmacokinetics: Duration of effect ranges from 20 to 30 minutes.
