Increased effect of tricyclic antidepressants hypoglycaemic agents and anticoagualants. Rifampicin, Barbiturates and phenytoin may interfere wth effect. Antiostrogenic effect used to prevent endometrial hyperplasia during oestrogen therapy.

G.I.disturbances, fluid retension. acne, weight gain, dizziness,discomfort in the breast, mental depression,altered menstrual cycle.

Undiagonised vaginal bleeding. Thrombophlebitis or thromboembolic disorders. Cerebrovascular or coronary artery disease, missed abortion, carcinoma of breast or genital organs, heptic dysfunction, history of herpes of pregancy, sickle cell anaemia, liver trumors which developed during OC use in pregnancy, lactation

Special precautions:

Epilepsy, migraine, asthma, cardiac or renal dysfunction, history of psychic depression, affects certain biochemical and haemolytic test results.
