Contraceptives- Oral include - Ethinyl oestrdiol, norethindione, norgestrel, desogestrel, levonorgesrtrel, medoxyprogesterone, progesterone Refer Progesterone

Amennorhoea, abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis.

G.I.disturbances, increased appetite, weight gain oedema, acne. allergic skin reactions, urticaria, mental depression, discomfort in breast. Pain at site of injection from oily medium used to transport the drug.

Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. Ca breast.

Special precautions:

CVS disease, renal/hepatic disease, diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, migraine.

Indications:

Amennorhoea, abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis.

Dosage

Normal - 5 to 10 mg daily for 5 days.
