Drug Interaction:
Potentially hazardous interactions- Increased levels of theophyline and cyclosporin,warfarin. Effects potentiated,disulfram-like reactions with alcohol.
Antacids reduce absorption of norfloxacin from gut.
Probenacid reduces urinary excretion of norfloxacin.

Adverse Reaction:
Rarely hypersensitivity reactions, Facial and laryngeal oedema, Hypotension, bronchospasm. Nausea,vomiting, heartburn, Metallic taste,
Headache, dizziness, Depression,insomnia, Rash,dry mouth, Fever,arthralgia. Rarely eosinophilia,bone marrow depression.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersensitivity,neurological disorders,including convulsion, Blood dyscrasias Pregnancy,lactation,children.
Special precautions-
Moderate renal impairment, History of susceptibility to seizures,alcohol intake. Ensure adequate hydration and urine output.

Usually 1 tab bid for 5-10 days depending on severity of response
