Adverse Reaction:
Diarrhoea, abdominal pain, Nausea, vomiting, Anorexia,, stomatitis,
Thirst, constipation. Jaundice, renal failure, Elevation of liver enzymes. BUN and creatinine. Cutaneous allergy,
Pyrexia, anaphylactoid reaction, Headache, dizziness,
Convulsions, tremors, Myalgia, rhabdomyolysis, Thrombocytopenia and eosinophilia.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy and lactation, children.
Special precautions:
Elderly patients, patients with a history of epilepsy, severe renal dysfunction.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indication
Respiratory tract infection, Genito-urinary tract infection, Skin and soft tissue infection
Dosage
The dosage range varies from 100mg to 400mg once daily after food.
The duration of theapy varies from 5 to 10 days.
