Drug Interaction:
May potentiate anticoagulant effect of warfarin and increase risk of haemorrhage. Concurrent disulfiram may cause side effects. Cimetidine prolongs half-life.

Adverse Reaction:
Nausea, gastralgia, change of taste, Stomatitis, urticaria, Rashes, leucopenia. Rarely vertigo, Moderate neurological and digestive troubles.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersens to imidazole derivatives, 1st trimester of pregnancy. Nursing mothers. Special precautions: Avoid alcohol and disulfiram. Avoid in patients with history of blood disorders.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Severe invasive amoebiasis
Dosage-
1.5g daily as a single or divided doses for 5 days
Child- 30mg/kg daily for 5 days
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use contraindicated. Observe caution Use during 1st trimester of pregnancy or on Nursing mothers.
