Adverse Reaction:
Cream - Burning, stinging,( 6% ) dryness, ( 3% ) erythema, itching, local irritation ( 2% ) Gel - buring /stinging (5% ) itching ( 1% ) erythema, rash, tenderness ( 0.5% )
Contra-Indications:

Avoid contact with the eyes. If irritation occurs , discontinue treatment and institute appropiate therapy
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Tinea pedis infections and other Tinea infections
Dosage:
Gently message a sufficient quantity into the affected area and surrounding skin once a day with the cream, twice a day with gel. Wash hands after application.
Patient Information:
Avoid the use of occlusive dressing or wrapping unless otherwise directed. For external use only, keep away from the eyes, nose, mouth and other mucous membranes.

1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
Naftifine. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are allergic to
any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Topical naftifine has not been studied in pregnant women. However, when
naftifine when given by mouth, has not shown to cause birth defects or other
problems in animal studies
3. Breast-feeding-
Topical naftifine is absorbed into the body. However, It is not known whether
naftifine passes into breast milk. Mothers who are taking this medicine and
who wish to breast feed should discuss this with their doctor.
4.Children-
Studies of thie medicine has been done only in adult patients and there is no specific
information comparing the use of naftifine in children with use in other age groups.
5.Older adults-
There is no specific information comparing use of naftifine in the elderly with use
in other age groups
. 6.Other medicines-
Tell your doctor if you are using any other prescription or non-prescription
(Over-the counter) OTC medicine.

Naftifine, a broad spectrum antifungal agent is a synthetic allylamine derivative. Although the exact mechanism is not understood,naftifine appears to interfere with sterol biosynthesis by inhibiting the enzyme squualene-2,3-epoxidase.
