Pharmacology- Pycnogenol- Pcynogenol is natural water soluble extract from the bark of French Maritime Pine -Pinus Maritime. It is a blend of proantocyanidin which are a special class of highy bioavailable water soluble bioflavanoids & include catechin, epicatechin, taxifolin, monomers, dimmers of catechin and epicatechin, oligomeric procyanidin and phenolic fruit acids such as ferulic acid and caffeic acid Pcynogenol is rapidly absorbed and can cross the blood brain barrier . Once absorbed the maximum protective effect last for about 72 hrs. Vitamin C- Vitamin C is awater soluble anti-oxidant known for its anti-oxidant activity in the collagen biosynthesis pathway. Vitamin C prevents oxidative damage and enhances immunity to infection. Vit C is necessary for collagen formation proper immune buidling function and as tissue antioxidant. Vitamin E- Vitamin E is extremely important lipid solubel that protrects cell membrane and also provides numerous health benefits for the body and skin. Vitamin E is a powerful anti-oxidant. It inhibits collagenase genes and has been postulated to activate alpha-tropomyosin gene, and connetcive tissue growth factor.
