Disulfram like reaction with alcohol. Synergism with ampicillin, doxycycline and co-trimoxazole.

Adverse Reaction:
Hypersens. Facial and laryngeal oedema, hypotension and brochospasm. Metallic taste, nausea, headache, vomiting, rash (rare).
Contra-Indications:
Blood dyscrasia
Special precautions: Avoid alcoholic drinks during treatment.

600mg twice daily for 5 days
