Oral anticoagulants, digitalis Hypoglycaemics , oral contraceptives (reduced efficacy ) Disulphram -avoid, phenytoin, corticosteroids, cyclosporin, Dapsone, quinidine, nacrcotics Alcohol - risk of hepatitis Pyridoxine defeciency Increased risk of neuropathy
Indication:
Tuberculosis in children
Adverse Reaction:
GI disturbances, hepatic disorders, Hepatitis, jaundice Leucopenia, eosinophillia Flu-like syndrome. Hypoglycaemia Headache, drowsiness, dizziness Visual disturbances Dose dedpendent peropheral neuropathy
Contra-Indications:
Jaundice, optic neuritis, concurrent admin. of ritonovir /squinavir,atezanavir
Special precautions-
Test visual functions before and during therapy Iimpaired liver function, Increased liver danage with increasing age Very youmg or malnourished patients
Elderly Perform blood counts, renal and liver function tests regularly Diabetes Pregnancy Lactation

Dosage-
Children - 2-3 caps depending on weight daily as a single dose either 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation Observe caution if required to be used
