One case of fatal septicema gollowing leucopenia was reported a small number of patients have reported a transicent increase in bone pain at 36 to 72 hours after injection, This is usually mild and self-limiting

Special precautions:

Bone metatases - strintium -89 is not indicated in patients with cancer not involving bone confirm presence of bone metastatis prior to therapy

Onset - in view of delayed onset of pain relief , typically 7 to 20 days post-injection, administration to patients withn very short expectancy is not recommended

Recommended dose is 148MBq given by slow IV inj ( 1 to 2 minutes ) alternately, a dose of 1.5 to 2.2 MBq , 40 to 60 mcCi/kg may be used

Avoid women of child bearing potential avoid becoming pregnant

Lactatiion- Nursing should be discontinued prior to receiving strontium -89
