Peripheral or cerebral vascular insufficiency

Nausea, anorexia, abdominal distress, dryness of throat, hypotension, malaise, vertigo, headache, lassitude, drowsiness, flushing, sweating, respiratory depression, cardiac depression, cardiac arrhythmia.

Complete atrioventricular dissociation.

Special precautions:
Glaucoma- administer with caution.

Indications:
Peripheral or cerebral vascular insufficiency

Dosage:
100mg 3 times daily. May be increased to 200mg 3 times daily. Most effective when given early in
course of vascular disorder.
 

1. May cause dizziness (hypotension) or drowsiness; use caution when driving or performing  other  tasks requiring alertness and dexterity.

2. May cause flushing, sweating, headache, tiredness, rash, nausea, anorexia, abdominal    distress or diarrhea. Notify physician, if these symptoms become pronounced.
 

Pharmacology:
Ethaverine is closely related to papaverine and has similar actions and uses.

Pregnancy:
Safety for use during pregnancy has not been established. Use with caution.

Lactation:
Safety for use in the nursing mother has not been established. Do not use in women of child
bearing age unless esstential to the welfare of the patient.
