Adverse Reaction:
Hypersensitivity reactions; parkinson-like symptoms Hypotension or pain following IM injection, Blood dyscrasias, blurred vision Coma, convulsions, depression, Diarrhea, disorientation, Dizziness, drowsiness, Headache, jaundice, Muscle cramps, Allergic skin reactiions.
Patient Information:
Trimethobenzamide may produce drowsiness .
Do not operate motor vehicles or dangerous machinery until their individual
responses have been determined

TRIMETHOBENZAMIDE - SYSTEMIC
1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
trimethobenzamide, or if you are allergic to benzocaine. Also tell your
healthcare care professional if you are allergic to any other
substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Studies have not been done in pregnant women. However, although studies
in animals have not shown that trimethobenzamide causes birth defects
it has been shown to increase the chance of miscarriage
3. Breast-feeding-
It is not known whether trimethobenzamide passes into breast milk.
Mothers who are taking this medicine and who wish to breast feed should
discuss this with their doctor.
4.Children-
This medicine should not be used to treat nausea and vomiting in children
unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Some side effects may be more
in children.
5.Older adults-
There is no specific information comparing use of trimethobenzamide
in the elderly with use in other age groups.
6. Other medicines-
When you are using trimethobenzamide it is especially important that
doctor know if you are using any of the following-
CNS depressants- or
Tricyclic antidepressants- taking these medicines with trimethobenzamide
may cause increased CNS depressant or other serious effects.
7. Other medical problems-
The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of
trimethobenzamide. Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other
medical problems especially-
High fever or
Intestinal infection- using trimethobenzamide may result in serious side
effects.
