Indication:
Renal allograft rejection

Adverse Reaction:
Fever, chills/rogors, flu-like syndrome, Fatigue/malaise, Generalised weakness, Anorexia. Cardiac arrest, Hypotension/shock, Heart failure, cardiovascular collapse, Angina/MI, Tachycardia, Bradycardia. Respiratory arrest, Pulmonary edema, Apnea, dyspnea, Bronchospasm, Wheezing, Shortness of breath, Hypoxemia.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersens to the drug
Special precautions:
Monitor renal, Hepatic, Hematopoietic function/efficiency. Chest X-ray within 24 hrs of initiating treatment.

Administer as an IV bolus in less than 1 minute. Do not give IV infusion or in conjunction with other drug solutions

1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
Muromonab -CD3. or to rodents such as mice or rats. Muromonab is
grown in a mouse cell culture. Also tell your healthcare care professional
if you are allergic to any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Studies have not been done in humans or animals. Before receiving this medicine
make sure that your doctor knows if you are pregnant or you become pregnant.
3. Breast-feeding-
It is not known whether muromonab -CD3 passes into breast milk. Be sure that
you have discussed the risks and benefits of the medicine with your doctor.
4.Children-
There is no specific information comparing use of Muromonab - CD3 in children
with use in other age groups, this medicine is not expected to cause different side
effects or problems than it does in adults. However, children are more likely to
get dehydrated from the diarrhea and vomiting that may be caused by this
medicine.
5.Older adults-
There is no specific information comparing use of Muromonab-CD3 in the elderly
with use in other age groups
6. Other medicines-
Tell your doctor if you are using any of the following -
Azathioprine or
Chlorambucil or
Corticosteroids or
Cyclophosphamide or
Cyclosporine or
Cytrabine or
Mercaptopurine - there may an increased risk of infections and development
of cancer because Muromonab- CD3 reduces the bodys ability to fight them

Pharmacology:
Muromonab-CD3 is a murine monoclonal antobody to the T3(CD3) antigen of human T cells which functions as an immunosuppressant.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Pregnancy:
If the drug is used during during or if the patient becomes pregnant while taking the drug, appraise the patient of the potential hazard to the fetus.
Lactation:
Excercise caution and decide whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
