Adverse Reaction:
Amorous behaviour, hypotonia, neuropathy, opishotonus. Asthenia, myocardial ischemia. Awareness, extremities pain, fever, increased drug effect, neck rigidity/stiffness, chest/trunk pain
Contra-Indications:
When general anesthesia or sedation are contraindicated; hypersensitivity to propofol or components of the product.
Special precaution:
Special risk patients- use a lower induction dose.Epilepsy, occurance of transcient local pain. Hyperlipidermia.

Indication: Induction or maintenance of anesthesia

Patient Information:
Performance of activites requiring mental alertness, cordination or physical dexterity may be impaired for some time after general anesthesia or sedation.
Pharmacology/ Pharmacokinetics:
Pharmacology: Propofol is an IV sedative agent for induction and maintenance of anesthesia or sedation.
Pharmacokinetics: Profofol is chiefly eliminated by hepatic conjugation into inactive metabolite which are excreted by the kidney.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Pregnancy: Use during pregnancy only when needed
Lactation: Not recommended for use in nursing mothers.
