Beta-adrenergic blockers include-
Atenolol, Acebutol, Betaxolol, Bisoprolol,Cartelol,Esmolol, Labetatol,Metoprolol, Nadolol,Penbutolol, Pinodol, Propranolol, Solatol, Timolol,
Refer - Atenolol
Enhances Cal channel blockers, anaesthetics & clonidine.
Mydriasis resulting from concomittant topical therapy with ephinephrine has been reported occasionally.
Recommend close observation of patients on beta-blocker therapy receiving concomitant catecholamine-depleting drugs viz.resperine,because of additive effects & the production of hypotension and or bradycardia.
Caution in patients receiving concomitant adrenergic psychotropic drugs.

Adverse Reaction:
Tropical use in eye:
Mild ocular stinging & discomfort,usually transient & well tolerated.
Rarely decreased corneal sensitivity, erythema, itching, keratitis & photophobia reported. Tiredness, fatigue, headache, impotence, sleep disturbances, cold hands & feet. G.I.upsets, bradycardia, especially in elderly.
Contra-Indications:
Reversible COAD, asthma,bradycardia, heart block.
Special precautions:
Poor cardiac reserve, untreated CCF,
children, lactation.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indications:
Treatment of ocular hypertension.
Dosage:
One drop twice daily of 0.5% soln.
