Anticholinergics may antagonise beneficial effects of domperidone in reflux osephagitis & dyspepsia

Decreased bioavailability of domperidone after prior admin. of cimetidine or Na bicarbonate

Delayed elimination of diazepam, phenytoin & warfarin with omeprazole

Dyspepsia

Domeperidone-

Dry mouth, transcient skin rash, itching, headache, diarrhea, and rarely nervousness.

Omeprazole-

Anemia, eosinophillia, urinart tract infection, skin rash, urticaria,pruritus, diarrheoa, headache, vomiting, flatulence, abdominal pain, diziness, and lightheadedness Somnolence, insomnia, vertigo, reversible confusion, agitation, depressin,hallucination, arthiritic and myalgic symptoms.

Pregnancy Domperidone is contraindicated in conditions associated with rise in prolactin level. Omeprazole is contraindicated in hypersensitivity patients Special precautions- Domperidone can cause rise in prolactin level resulting in galactorrhea in females and less frequently gynaecomastia in males Hypersentive crisis may occur in patients with phaechromocytoma .

Renal impairment in or those at risk of fluid retention.

Hepatic impairment

Elderly

Exclude the possibility of malignancy if gastric ulcer is suspected, before treatment with omeprazole

It may mask the symptoms and delay diagnosis.

Monitor patients on warfarin or phenytoin therapy, reduce dose if necessary
